We’re growing — and we’re looking for the right person to grow with us. 🏡✨

Joy Construction Company is hiring a Residential Construction Superintendent to join our team here in Brunswick County, NC.

This is a hands-on, field-focused role for someone who knows residential construction, takes pride in the details, and knows how to keep a job moving. You’ll work closely with our Project Manager to help oversee our custom homes from the field — coordinating trades, monitoring progress and quality, managing punch lists, staying ahead of schedules, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.

We’re looking for someone who is organized, proactive, dependable, communicative, and genuinely proud of doing things the right way.

Things are really starting to come together on this one 👏🏼🏡

Joe’s walking us through some of the details happening throughout the home — from the tongue-and-groove ceilings and coffered ceiling details to choosing stains that will tie in beautifully with the front door and carry that warmth throughout the home.

Next up: vent hood, more paint, countertops… and the flooring is already staged and ready to go 👀

This is one of my favorite stages of a build because you can finally start to see all of those individual selections turn into one cohesive home. ✨

And the best part? There’s still more to come. Stay tuned because we’ve got another update from this project coming soon! 😉

Okay but THIS LOT.

You know a property is special when you can do a full 360° and see… basically nothing but trees.

The privacy here is absolutely beautiful — and we’re still at the very beginning. Right now, you can see the posts outlining where the home will sit, the trees being tagged, and the first signs of what’s about to take shape.

And that’s one of the coolest parts about bringing you along on these projects — you get to see what happens before there’s even a house to show you.

This is where it all begins. 🏡✨

Right now, it might look like a wooded lot, a few survey pins and markings on a tree… but soon, this will be someone’s home.

And this time, we’re bringing you along from the very beginning.

The lot is being surveyed, the home is starting to take shape on the land, and we’re at one of those stages of custom home building that most people never really get to see.

No perfectly finished rooms yet. No beautiful kitchen reveal. No landscaping.

Just the raw beginning — and honestly, that’s what makes it so exciting. 🤍

One of our favourite parts of building custom homes is being involved in every single step alongside our clients. From walking the property and understanding the land, to planning, designing, building and eventually handing over the keys — every decision is part of creating a home that is completely their own.

Okay, technically there’s no house here yet… but I’m standing in it. 😂🏡

This is one of my FAVORITE stages of a custom build because you can actually start to see the plans come off the page and take their place on the property.

Right now, the home has been mapped out on the lot with stakes and lines showing its footprint — which means I can casually walk through the “front door” before we have… you know… a front door. 😂

But there’s also a lot more happening here than a few stakes in the ground.

This early layout is an important part of making sure the home is positioned properly on the lot, works within the required setbacks, and ultimately comes together the way it was designed to.

And this is something I LOVE about what we do at Joy Construction — we’re involved from the very beginning. Long before the pretty finishes, cabinetry and final walkthroughs, there are a hundred little milestones like this one that move a client’s vision closer to becoming their home.

And yes… we get excited about every single one. 😂👏

This one is officially underway, so stay tuned. I’ll be taking you along as this goes from stakes in the ground → to an actual luxury custom home. 👀✨
