This week, my market in coastal NC saw the highest dewpoint in the entire country, higher than Miami.

Envelope leakage, depressurization, duct leakage, poor HVAC design and poor AC performance are all being accentuated in these conditions.

The mold guys are going to be even busier in the coming days.

If you're in HVAC and not looking for ALL these issues on these calls, you will absolutely never solve the real problem.

Bio growth around a bath fan is a clear sign of a failed backdraft damper and depressurization.

The dampers that come with the fans and the termination kits don't seal. You gotta put an inline damper in the duct, then hunt down the causes of depressurization.

Recently a new Bosch Home Comfort USA heat pump owner in humid Texas saw my video (linked below) where i show how to get the most dehumidification out of the IDS heat units using an ecobee thermostat.

He bought the thermostat and i walked him through wiring and config. His humidity went from 70% to low 50%.
