Hello Everyone, Just a heads up this is my last weekend for tomato sales, Friday, Sat and Sunday from 9am to 6pm on May 29,30,31 then closed for the season. There is plenty of stock but on many varieties the stock is getting low.

Get your tomato plants here, 40 varieties to choose from. The plants are growing and they will be ready (Opening) day MAY 15,16 and 17th. That's Friday Sat and Sun sales only. 9am - 6pm. Next weekend is MAY 22,23 and 24 And the last weekend is MAY 29,30 and 31 Then closed for the season. The plants are sold from my house 20995 Van Buren St, Southfield, MI 48033. FYI: The plants are 5$ each Cash or check only, sorry I am not set up for credit cards.

Starting in 2026 I will be selling tomato seeds. Because of Facebook many garden clubs have asked me to start selling seeds from my breeding program. These exclusive varieties are now available to purchase. Each variety that I have created in my breeding program has an heirloom parent in its background, meaning they got the flavor. They are all open pollinated so they cannot be patented but they can be shared among friends and please do so. At this time I have 9 varieties for sale: they are: Super Nova, Chocolate Beefsteak, Green Honey, Casino chips, Silver Fox, Joe's pearly white, Pink Champagne, Pop my cherry, and St. Patrick's Day. Scroll down to see the pictures and descriptions of each. There are more varieties on the way and friends around the country are helping me evaluate them. Nothing goes to market until I say wow. How to order seeds. The seeds are 5 dollars each, (around 20 + seeds) Send me a text on messenger to check availability. If everything is in stock then its a go, write me a check addressed to Joe Rarus and mail the check along with a self addressed stamped envelope. Hello Gardeners, The summer of 2025 took 2 months of my time rebuilding my greenhouse. When I built the greenhouse I used lumber that I had around the house. It was not treated lumber So last year the carpenter ants found their home and left me in ruins. To fight back I rebuilt it from the ground up. When you come over to buy some plants the greenhouse will look the same but with some major upgrades. About 90% of the wood used to rebuild is plastic. Put that on your dinner table. New glass on all 4 sides with a fiberglass frame. A new aluminum door. The inside floor was graded and leveled. For the winter I am using the greenhouse as my Florida room, so nice.

Hello my dear friends, thank you for being loyal customers and I think we are going to have a really good growing season this year. I can feel it in my bones. We did not get hit by any late frost this year so for those who have planted early everything should be fine. This is a reminder that this weekend is my final weekend for sales. Come Sunday June 1 2025 I will be shutting down for the season and start planting my own garden. Then I can relax, Oh not really I forgot about the weeds. It never ends does it. Thank you everyone Enjoy.

Here is my 2025 tomato plants for sale.
There have been a few new varieties added this year. Last year they performed great. Big Boy, Celebrity, Ponderosa, and Supersonic.

2025 Sales information:
Open 3 days a week, Fri. Sat. & Sun.
From 9 am–6 pm On these dates

May 16,17 18 May 23,24,25 May 30,31 & June 1
The plants are 5.00 each; cash or check.

One block north of 8 mile, 5 blocks east of Inkster Road.
On 8 mile, Look for the TRUTH catering hall as a landmark.
Turn on Van Buren St, North, drive one block look for red house on the corner. Can’t miss it.
