Dealing with a neighbor’s tree hanging over your fence, roof, or property line in Michigan? You aren't alone! 🏠🌳

In this video, Kyle (ISA Certified Arborist at Longtree) explains the exact laws around overhanging branches, boundary lines, and tree trimming rights in Michigan.

Key takeaways for Michigan homeowners:
• Your Side, Your Right: You can trim overhanging branches up to your property line.
• Avoid Tree Damage: If your trimming kills or weakens the neighbor's tree, you can be held financially liable for the value of the tree under Michigan law ($$$).
• Boundary Rules: You cannot step onto your neighbor’s property or cut beyond the boundary line without permission.

What happens when a tree company shows up to a house and the dog's name is "Birch"? We obviously make a bigl deal out of it on social media!🌳🐶

We couldn't help but smile at the name. it's pretty much a job requirement around here to love trees and dogs named after them!
