Before and after: a typical 1950s Seminole Heights hall bathroom.
Before: pink wall tile, a cast iron tub with a sliding glass door, a small vanity with no storage, and a window that kept the shower wall wet.
After: a walk in shower with white vertical subway tile and a clear glass panel, a sage green vanity with drawers, a black and white mosaic floor, and the original window kept outside the wet zone.
The part you never see: the room goes back to the studs. In houses this age that usually means old galvanized supply lines and a cast iron drain. Every pipe gets a photo and a plain explanation before anything is closed up.
Q: Can we keep the original window?
A: Usually yes. If it sits inside the shower, we either move the shower wall or seal the opening properly so water stays out of the frame.
