Cabinet refinishing is the highest-stakes painting in your house. Your kitchen takes more abuse than any painted surface, grease, moisture, fingernails, pot handles, and a shortcut finish shows it within months.

Our process: every door and drawer comes off and gets labeled for exact reassembly. Surfaces get degreased, scuffed, and primed with a shellac-based bonding primer that actually adheres to slick factory finishes. Topcoats are a furniture-grade enamel, sprayed for a smooth, factory-style result.

PSA for Rhode Island homeowners: the fall exterior painting window is open, and it's shorter than you think.

September gives us the conditions paint actually wants, mild surface temperatures, lower humidity, and dew points that behave. Our crews check the weather window before every exterior coating day (surface temp, dew point, humidity, rain probability, wind, it's a formal checklist, not a glance at the sky), and early fall is when those checks pass most reliably.

By late October, the good coating days get rare. If your house needs exterior work this year, now's the time to get on the schedule.

Here's something most people never see: what a Senn crew does before anyone opens a can of paint.

Every finished floor gets photographed, vacuumed, and then covered corner to corner with rigid floor protection, the same material builders use, not just canvas drop cloths. Every seam gets taped shut, because a seam lifted even a quarter inch is a path for a paint drip to reach your hardwood. On finished wood we only use low-tack tape, so removal never pulls the floor's finish. Area rugs get fully wrapped. Then the lead painter walks the room with a raking light held low to the floor, flaws that are invisible under normal light throw shadows you can't miss.

Only after all of that passes inspection does prep work start. It's not glamorous, but it's why our clients' homes leave the job exactly the way they arrived.

Right now we're hand-finishing over 1,700 square feet of shiplap, 500+ feet of casings, 30 interior doors, and exposed structural beams, all in multi-layer clear coat.

Every piece is sanded from 150 to 220 grit by hand. Dusted. Coated in controlled conditions. Inspected. Repeated.
