Every great transformation starts somewhere. 👀

We're kicking off a series following one of our favorite whole-home remodels in South Jordan, from the first day to the final walkthrough.

⬆️ Top: the kitchen before we started. Cream cabinets, speckled granite, and a busy mosaic backsplash.
⬇️ Bottom: the entry once work was underway. Floors up, appliances moved out, and our crew getting to work.

This home had great bones. It just needed a fresh, updated look to match the way this family lives today.

Progress update on our Cottonwood Heights basement finish! 🔨

Last time we shared this one, the walls were just going up. Now the framing is done and the rooms are really taking shape. All the wiring, outlet and switch boxes, and new water lines are run through the walls. We're just about ready for our four-way inspection (framing, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical). We're waiting on the plumber to install one last item, and then it's inspection time.

Once we pass, we'll insulate and then hang sheetrock, and that's when a bare basement starts to feel like a real part of the home. Stay tuned!

Delivery day in Cottonwood Heights 🚚

Drywall is on site for our basement finish, which means framing and rough-ins are behind us and this space is about to start looking like real rooms.

This is one of our favorite stages — it's when homeowners walk down and finally see it.

It's September 9. Thanksgiving is 11 weeks out.

A typical basement finish takes us 6–10 weeks from demo to final walkthrough. Which means if you want finished space before the holidays — extra bedroom for the in-laws, a real place for the kids to disappear to — the window to start is now, not November.

🔨 New build underway in Cottonwood Heights!

This basement went from empty concrete to fully framed in short order — walls up, soffits boxed in around the ductwork, electrical rough-in started, and plumbing trenched for the new bathroom. Right now it's studs and dust. In a few weeks it's going to be a finished living space this family actually uses every day.

We're going to document this one start to finish, so give us a follow and watch it come together. Framing → rough-ins → inspection → drywall → finishes. All of it.

Basement kitchenette coming together on this South Jordan project.

Navy shaker cabinets, quartz counters, an apron-front sink, and a white oak floating shelf under warm glass sconces. Built-in beverage fridge for game nights.

Still a ladder and a few punch-list items in the frame, but you can already see where it's headed.
