One of the best parts of working in nature—you never know who you’ll meet.

Today, on a spring cleaning in Monson, it was Gerald… a wild Ruffed Grouse with a big personality who kept us company (and on our toes) all day long. He even bid us farewell on our way out.

Moments like this are what make these projects special.

Clean water features, happy clients, and a story we won’t forget anytime soon.

We’re getting close to the finish line on this beauty, and it’s really coming together. This is a strong contender for our build of the season!
✅ Spillway bowl is in
✅ Intake bay completed
✅ Pond rinsed and filled
✅ Pumps and jets installed
✅ Beach area almost finished
✅ Waterfall flowing — just needs edging and touch-up

Tomorrow we’ll be adding aquatic plants, then some topsoil for the surrounding landscaping. In just a couple of weeks, some big koi will be moving in to make this pond their new home. 🐟✨Very exciting progress so far — here’s a short video of where things stand!

Some things just get better with time… and ponds are one of them.

When a pond is first built, it’s like a brand-new canvas — clean lines, fresh rock work, and crystal-clear water. But give it a year, and nature starts to weave its magic. Plants fill in, moss and patina soften the stone, fish settle into their new home, and the whole ecosystem comes to life.

We’re only partway through this build, but this one is going to be a showstopper. Here’s what’s coming:
⛲️20 x 13 Ecosystem pond
💧 Custom intake bay for low maintenance & big fish cave to keep them safe from predators.
🌊 Special jets to keep the water moving in those calm spots (like the beach entry for the family dog to grab a drink or for the kids to splash around)
🏞 8-foot waterfall powered by a massive AquaScape Signature Series 6000 BioFalls and two pumps!!
✨ Color-changing lights for a whole new look after dark
🥣 A 32” spillway bowl for extra wow factor and home to a beautiful new lotus!
🪨 Built-in Goshen stone wall with a destination stone built by Lukas Earthbender Landscaping co.— perfect for feeding the fish or dipping your feet in

We stopped by Deerfield Elementary yesterday to add some beautiful new aquatic and native plants to the 8x11 ecosystem pond we built last fall — and it’s thriving! 🐸💦Check out the video to see how the pond has come to life with lilies, grasses, and happy little frogs. Big shoutout to the teachers and students who help take care of it — we love seeing kids get excited about nature! 🌱💚👇 Tell us your favorite plant in the video or tag someone who’d love a pond like this at their school or home!

This little project in South Deerfield was so much fun. These spillway bowls are stunning and can totally transform your garden. This project really proves that you don’t need a huge yard and a million dollars to enjoy the sights and sounds of a beautiful fountain.
