BMK Construction & Repair

I completely forgot to take pictures before starting this project 🤦‍♂️, so the “before” pictures are straight off Zillow. But even with those, you can see just how insane the transformation of this little area has been.

We removed the existing cabinetry and completely reworked the space to make it more functional and give it a fresh, updated look.

What we did:

* Removed an existing cabinet to open up the space
* Custom-built an open-face cabinet for the refrigerator and w**e storage
* Custom painted/refinished the countertops
* Handmade and stained the floating shelves
* Painted and updated all of the existing cabinetry
* Installed a new outlet behind the cabinetry to provide power for the refrigerator
* Gave the entire area a cleaner, more modern look

A relatively small area of the kitchen, but a huge difference in how the whole space looks and functions.

Turning a blank wall into the centerpiece of the room.

This project has included a recessed electric fireplace, new recessed lighting, custom accent wall, and a completely custom-built floating mantle.

The mantle is being built to do more than just look good. We incorporated hidden electrical, USB charging, lighting, and storage directly into the design while keeping everything clean and concealed once it’s finished.

Still some trim, paint, and finishing details to knock out, but this wall has already come a LONG way.

Out with the old and in with something a little more functional.

We installed this new black workstation sink and commercial-style faucet, giving this kitchen a completely different look while adding a ton of usable workspace. The workstation setup includes the cutting board, drying rack, bottom grid, and accessories that make the sink work just as good as it looks.

Still some finishing work left to do around the kitchen, but this one made a BIG difference already. 👌

Whether it’s a full project or one of those smaller upgrades you’ve been putting off, BMK Construction & Repair can help get it knocked out.

🔨 Sometimes the small details make the whole project come together!

As part of this remodel, we recently built a new TV/fireplace feature wall, but there was one problem: the existing HVAC floor register was located right where the new wall needed to go.

Instead of covering it up or compromising the new layout, we relocated the register to a new location along the wall and tied it back into the existing ductwork underneath.

Now the new fireplace wall can sit exactly where it was designed to, while the room still gets the airflow it needs. 👌

It’s the stuff you won’t see when the project is finished that often takes the most planning.

This transformation came out CLEAN. 👌

A little prep (shout out to Alexandra Foster for getting them all ready), a fresh coat of paint, and these doors went from dated fiberboard “wood”to a smooth, modern black finish.

BMK Construction & Repair is taking on smaller home improvement projects too painting, doors, trim, repairs, and those projects you’ve been putting off.

“Dad, can I help?”
“B, Can I help?”

That’s probably my favorite question to hear.

Some of the best memories aren’t made after the project is finished, they’re made while we’re covered in paint, putting cabinet doors back together, or letting little hands roll paint on a wall for the first time.

These moments remind me why I started BMK Construction & Repair in the first place. It’s about helping people create homes they’re proud of, while building memories of my own along the way.

As BMK continues to grow, I’m focusing on what I do best…small to medium-sized home improvement projects that I can personally complete with the attention to detail every homeowner deserves.

Whether it’s:
🎨 Painting a room
🚪 Replacing a door
🛠 Drywall repairs
🪵 Trim installation
🏠 Flooring
🔨 General home repairs

When you hire BMK, you’re working directly with me from the estimate to the final walkthrough.

If you’ve been putting off that project because it’s “too small” for the big contractors, send me a message. Those are exactly the kinds of jobs I’m looking to take on.
