Today, I dug up the tubers from my ‘Bloomquist Richard’ dahlia! 🌸🪩

For those that are interested in the plant stats—I never did get around to pinching the plant once it was a foot high, so it grew as 1 single stalk reaching a whopping 7 feet tall with about five blooms. 📏🌻

To my surprise, that one plant rewarded me with five gorgeous, healthy-looking tubers to store for this winter! 🥔✨

If only the dirt was a little dryer! 🌧️🪴

The ‘Chewy’ dahlia plant on the left has spectacularly yielded 12 gorgeous tubers, while its stubborn neighbor on the right is still firmly encased in a heavy coat of damp earth.

Oh well! A gardener's work is never truly done—we must endure and continue the fight! 💪✨
