Firestopping in Insulated Metal Panel (IMP) assemblies should keep pace with the way data centers are built today. Read more: https://bit.ly/3ShzEgA

As IMP assemblies accelerate data center construction, maintaining fire-resistance ratings at cable tray penetrations can introduce complexity, particularly in existing conditions. EZ Path® Cable Tray Retrofit Devices are designed to restore firestop protection at these penetrations without the need for additional firestop materials.

Designed for use in IMP assemblies, these solutions support code compliance at existing penetrations while improving efficiency in high-capacity cable environments.

For designers, contractors, and facility teams working in active or rapidly evolving data centers, this means a faster, more streamlined approach to maintaining protection without disrupting operations.

Simplifying firestopping in Insulated Metal Panel (IMP) assemblies starts with using systems built for the way modern data centers operate. Read more: https://bit.ly/3ShzEgA

IMPs are driving faster, more scalable data center builds, but cable penetrations can introduce risk and rework. With new UL Systems W-N-3003 and W-N-4001, Specified Technologies brings EZ Path® Fire-Rated Pathways into IMP assemblies to align firestopping with the same core advantages.

Designed for speed, reduced risk, scalability, and operational efficiency, these tested systems support both cable pathways and cable tray penetrations while accommodating ongoing moves, adds, and changes without re-firestopping.

For designers, specifiers, and contractors working in data center environments, this means a simpler, more reliable approach to firestopping without compromising flexibility or future growth.

Accessible design removes barriers before they become safety risks.

To close out our Building Safety Month series, we are highlighting Communities Without Limits through simple ways to improve accessibility at home. When spaces are easier to navigate and use, they better support people of all ages and abilities.

Swipe to see how small upgrades like grab bars, non-slip surfaces, and easy-reach storage can improve safety, stability, and independence throughout the home.

These are not major renovations. They are practical adjustments that reduce risk and make everyday spaces safer and more usable for everyone. As we wrap up Building Safety Month, the message is clear. Accessibility is not just about compliance. It is about creating safer, more inclusive environments for all.

Firestop Instructional Training Level 2 (FIT Level 2) brought another group of professionals together this May at STI headquarters in Somerville, NJ. Register for upcoming sessions here: https://bit.ly/46tMJHc.

Over two days of hands-on training, attendees walked away with practical experience applying advanced firestop systems and fire-rated cable pathway solutions in real-world conditions. The focus was on improving installation accuracy, selecting the right systems for specific applications, and approaching inspections with a clearer understanding of code requirements.

Led by John Zalepka, Director of Training and Industry Engagement, alongside Justin Pine, RCDD, Senior Manager, Software and Services, Justin Mentuck, Product Manager, Chris Demarco, Director of Engineering Services, and Eddie Cafro, Senior Manager, Fire Lab & Facilities, the session reinforced how UL and ASTM-listed systems perform across commercial, industrial, and data center environments, with direct application to everyday project challenges.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in May. Your engagement and shared field insight made this a valuable session. We look forward to continuing the conversation at upcoming FIT Level 2 training.
