South Kentucky RECC’s Brandon Wesley (Safety & Loss Control Manager) and Jeremy Rayborn (Regional Construction Manager) recently spent time with a group of local students, giving them an inside look at careers in the electric cooperative industry. The students learned about the tools and safety equipment our line workers use, the importance of working safely around electricity, and even had the opportunity to see some linework skills up close.

We always enjoy sharing what we do with young people in our communities and introducing them to the many career opportunities available in the electric utility industry. Thanks to everyone who joined us for a great day of learning! ⚡💙

This spooky season, keep home energy use and décor safety in check. Stop energy vampires from unnecessary consumption and double check electrical cords for damage. We hope you have a safe and frightfully-fun Halloween!

Our crews are back home safely after spending several days helping Clarke-Washington EMC restore power following Hurricane Isaias!

Long hours, hard work and time away from their families are all part of answering the call when help is needed.

We appreciate our team for stepping up to help and for the hard work and dedication they showed throughout the trip.

Welcome home, guys! We’re glad to have you back! 💙⚡

We’re proud to recognize Micah Pryor and Gabby McGinnis as Co-op Champions, an honor from Kentucky Electric Cooperatives that celebrates students who exemplify cooperative values through service and civic engagement.

Following the 2026 Washington Youth Tour, Micah and Gabby completed the Co-op Champions leadership program, where they planned and hosted a Co-ops Vote voter registration drive at their school to help eligible classmates register to vote for the 2026 general election.

The nonpartisan Co-ops Vote initiative, in partnership with Kentucky Secretary of State Michael Adams, encourages civic responsibility and active citizenship.

Congratulations to Micah and Gabby on this outstanding achievement!
