With the chance of night time frost temps and a few days vents I need flowers for, I’ve been out in the break in the rain to pick everything I possibly can! I’m only about half way done picking! I will be donating bouquets to a charity golf tournament tomorrow and have some wedding flowers to do for Saturday, if I have left overs I’ll let you all know!

When we left for Tennessee last week, we’d had several weeks of rain, and these cosmos looked done. Only two or three scraggly blooms hanging out. It was warm and dry the week we were gone giving the ground a chance to actually dry out and the cosmos loved it! They now have hundreds of blooms!

A few new dahlia colors in bloom in our absence. Dahlias had a tough season this year by getting planted so late and then such odd weather didn’t help. We haven’t had many this year, but we will still save them for next year, digging them up when the cold hits, so that we can hopefully have a better crop next year.

Our family spent the last week in a cabin in the Smoky Mountains, enjoying Tennessee and Dollywood, and all the the views we could get. We enjoyed so much scenery and many beautiful flowers, I thought I’d share some of it with you!
