Pipe installation is underway at the Utoy Creek Project for City of Atlanta Government

Our RC crews are installing 72” FRP as part of a major capacity upgrade to South Utoy Creek Basin. As part of the City of Atlanta’s Consent Decree Program and in partnership with BenchMark Management, this project replaces an undersized outfall trunk sewer, helping eliminate sanitary sewer overflows and adding capacity for the basin’s current and future needs.

This project is an important investment in the long-term reliability of Atlanta's wastewater infrastructure.

Ruby-Collins is excited to begin work on the Columbia Canal Headgates Restoration Project for the City of Columbia Government.

Built in 1891, the headgates have operated to manage water flow into the canal to provide clean drinking water to the City.

This project will fully restore the headgate operability, improve flood resilience, and strengthen the long-term reliability of this critical water resource. The work will also include careful environmental controls to help protect water quality and minimize impacts to the surrounding waterway, while preserving an important piece of Columbia’s history.

A look behind the scenes at our work at the President Street facility in Savannah.

Rated for 27 million gallons per day, with peak flow capacity of 65 MGD, the facility plays an important role in Savannah’s wastewater infrastructure.

Ruby-Collins’ work includes the installation of twin 60-inch HOBAS influent lines and multiple influent structures, along with upcoming upgrades to the grit system, influent gates and valves, clarifier chain and flight systems, and turbo blowers.

It takes skilled people, teamwork and plenty of problem-solving to complete this type of work while keeping critical infrastructure moving. Proud of our team and the work they’re doing for the City of Savannah Government!
