Jean’s Flowers is Hiring! 🌿💐
We’re looking for a friendly, dependable, creative person to join our team Thursday through Saturday at our downtown Smithville shop.
This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working with people, flowers, plants, gifts, and all the fun things that make a small local shop special. No two days at Jean’s are exactly the same, so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable jumping in wherever needed.
What you’ll be doing:
* Greeting customers and helping them find flowers, plants, gifts, clothing, and other items throughout the shop
* Answering phones and taking floral and delivery orders
* Learning our products so you can confidently answer customer questions and make recommendations
* Caring for houseplants and helping customers with basic plant-care questions
* Assisting with the flower bar and everyday floral orders
* Creating floral arrangements when needed, depending on experience
* Processing sales and working the checkout
* Restocking, cleaning, watering plants, and keeping the sales floor organized and inviting
* Helping merchandise and refresh displays throughout the shop
* Preparing orders for delivery
* Making local floral and gift deliveries using our shop vehicle
* Helping with seasonal rushes, events, workshops, and other day-to-day shop tasks
Floral experience is strongly preferred. We would especially love someone who already has experience designing everyday arrangements, processing flowers, or working in a flower shop. Additional training can be provided to the right person who has a good floral foundation and is eager to learn our style.
