🐝🍯 Harvest Update from BPHOMESTEAD! 🍯🐝
We just wrapped up another incredible honey harvest and are excited to share that our shelves are being restocked with fresh, raw Central Texas honey!
From 63 harvested frames, we extracted an amazing 21–22 gallons of honey straight from the hive.
This harvest also allowed us to separate out two distinctly different batches:
🌻 Limited Small-Batch Elgin Honey – This honey has its own unique flavor profile that stands apart from our Rosanky harvest. Since I’m not as familiar with the specific nectar sources in the Elgin area, I can’t confidently pinpoint exactly what plants contributed to its character, but it is truly delicious and unlike anything else we’ve harvested this season.
🌿 Rosanky Honey – This batch has the rich, complex flavor we’ve come to love from this area. I strongly believe it’s influenced by a blend of wildflowers, horse mint, and other native Central Texas blooms and plants that our bees have been working throughout the season.
One of the most fascinating things about local honey is that it reflects the land where it was produced. The changing seasons, rainfall, and native forage all contribute to flavors that can vary from one apiary to another—even just a few miles apart.
Every jar is:🍯 Raw🐝 Local🌼 Minimally processed❤️ Harvested with care right here in Bastrop County
Available in multiple sizes while supplies last:

Party Favor Jars
10 oz Jars
20 oz Jars
44 oz Family Jars
Limited ½ Gallon Jars

Thank you to everyone who continues to support local agriculture and small family businesses. We can’t wait for you to taste the difference between these two unique harvests!
Which would you choose first—Elgin or Rosanky?

🍯 Another honey harvest in the books! 🍯

Pulled about 11 gallons of beautiful Texas honey yesterday. Light in color, incredibly smooth, and packed with flavor. Every apiary and every season brings something a little different—that’s the magic of local honey.

My best guess is a mix of wildflowers and yaupon, but the bees always keep us guessing!

“Every jar of honey represents thousands of flights, countless flowers, and the lifetime work of an entire colony. 🐝🍯

Honey bees may be small, but their impact on our world is enormous. They help pollinate the plants that feed people, livestock, and wildlife every single day.

Next time you enjoy a spoonful of honey, remember the tiny workers behind it. Support your local beekeepers, plant pollinator-friendly flowers, and help protect the bees that help feed the world. 🌼”

These bone-in pork chops are getting glazed with sweet heat and paired with that bold mango habanero flavor 🤤

This is what supporting local is all about — amazing handcrafted products that actually get USED and enjoyed at home, not just sitting on a shelf.

🍯🐝 Nature never stops amazing me.

These two jars of honey were harvested from apiaries only a couple miles apart here in Bastrop County… yet look at the difference in color and character. One came out a rich golden amber while the other turned a deep ruby red. Same season. Same region. Completely different results.

That’s the magic of honey bees. 🌼
Bees forage from thousands of blooms within a few miles of their hive, and every nectar source leaves its fingerprint behind — wildflowers, trees, vines, native plants, even changes in soil and rainfall can influence the flavor, aroma, and color of honey.

No two harvests are ever exactly the same… and that’s what makes real local honey so special. 🍯✨

Every jar tells the story of the land the bees worked.
