Sometimes you need to hit reset and get back to the basics.

Business cards. Handshakes. Real conversations.

As companies grow, it’s easy to get caught up in systems, emails, meetings, and all the moving pieces. But at the end of the day, business still comes down to relationships and showing up.

Over the last few years, MJM Ultimate Services has been reinvented. We started in consulting and inspections, and now we’re building something much bigger. Security work. Traffic control and flagging. PPE supply. Boots on the ground solutions for the utility and construction industries.

We’re grinding to become a trusted supplier in the industry and carve out our small piece of a massive market. There’s enough work for everyone. We just want our share of it.

Growth mode is exciting but sometimes the best move is going back to what built it in the first place. Shake hands. Make connections. Stay consistent. Repeat.

Grind mode activated.

Had a pretty cool experience last night. Ended up front and center at an event with Dave Meltzer… wasn’t expecting that one.

I’ve seen clips before, but being in the room hits different.

I’m a big Napoleon Hill fan, and the one-liners were dialed in. Belief, mindset, energy… he was stacking them back to back. A lot of it was stuff I already believe—but hearing it live, reinforced, just sharpens the edge.

Sometimes you don’t need new information. You need reminders. You need to hear it again, louder, clearer, with conviction.

Get in the rooms. Stay around people thinking bigger. That’s where the shift happens.

Thursday I’ll be at the New York Build Expo at the Javits Center and I’m looking forward to connecting with some great people in the industry.

We’re focused on continuing to grow our security division while expanding our flagging and traffic control services into more construction and infrastructure projects. The goal is simple: bring strong logistics, safety, and reliable manpower to the jobs that need it most.

Events like this are always a good reminder that this industry runs on relationships. A few conversations can turn into long-term partnerships.

If you’re going to be there Thursday and want to connect, shoot me a message. Always happy to meet new people, talk shop, and see where we can work together.

Most people want the shortcut.
I want the reps.

One of my “secrets” — if you can even call it that — is I’m always learning. Always sharpening. Always staying close to the ground.

Becoming CUSP certified through the Utility Safety & Ops Leadership Network wasn’t about letters behind my name. It was about staying in the know. Staying relevant. Staying dangerous in the utility industry.

CUSP forces you to think differently.
About safety.
About leadership.
About accountability.
About how decisions in the office impact boots on the ground.

It keeps me connected to what’s happening in real time — not what worked five years ago.

Right now, we’re setting the chess board up.

Security division.
Minority-certified division.
Traffic control.
Event operations.
Distribution.

Each piece has a purpose. Each move is intentional. No rushing. No ego. Just building it the right way.

Because in utilities, if you’re not learning, you’re falling behind. And falling behind in this industry isn’t an option.

The goal isn’t to look busy.
The goal is to build something that lasts.

Second year at ATSSA… but this one felt different.

This year felt like we arrived.

The meetings were strong. The conversations were real. I got to connect with so many leaders in the roadway safety and traffic control space, and I walked away with one clear feeling:

We’re doing something right.

You never fully know what the future holds, but when the right people start leaning in, asking questions, and seeing the vision — that means something.

One quote that keeps ringing in my head:

“Keep doing what you’re doing. You guys are about to get to the part where it gets fun.”

That stuck with me.

Grateful for the relationships. Grateful for the growth. Excited for what’s next.

Two weeks ago we talked about customer journey.
Now let me show you what ours actually looks like.

This is what we do.

We don’t just throw bodies at an event and hope for the best.
We control the entire flow.

Traffic.
Parking.
Pedestrians.
Security.
Access points.
Crowds.
Timing.

It’s all one system.

When people are trying to get in…
When VIPs are moving through…
When a thousand cars hit one driveway…
When something goes sideways…

That’s where experience shows up.

Our crews don’t panic.
They don’t guess.
They execute.

Because we plan the event before the first cone ever hits the street.

Most people don’t realize how much work goes into making something feel easy.
But that’s the whole point.

When the event runs smooth, nobody notices us.
When it doesn’t, everyone does.

That’s why we obsess over flow, safety, and details.
That’s the difference between “we have staff” and “we have a team.”

And that’s what we bring to every single job.

Let me reintroduce myself.

2026. The year of focus.

The plan isn’t noise. It’s motion.

I’ve officially moved into the owner’s box. The investor seat.
Hired the management team.
Built the structure.

So I can spend my time on what actually moves the needle.

MJM Ultimate Services is now a minority-certified flagging and security company.

Traffic control.
Events.
Security guards.
Compliance—without the headache.

If you’re a contractor, municipality, or organization that needs certified minority partners as part of your spend, let’s connect.

We make it easy.
We show up professional.
We get it done right.

Focused beats busy.

You hear all the one-liners about business owners—
“Chasing shiny objects.”
“All over the place.”
“Can’t focus.”
Blah blah blah.

Then you look at this wall.

Kona Ice.
Flagging & traffic control.
Dog grooming.

Yeah… kinda crazy at first glance.

But here’s the part people miss:
It’s not random. It’s aligned.

Different brands. Different industries.
Same fundamentals—systems, people, culture, ex*****on.

Entrepreneurship isn’t about doing one thing forever.
It’s about building skills that transfer anywhere.

Focus isn’t doing less.
Focus is knowing why you’re doing it—and building teams that can run it.

Controlled chaos beats comfort every time.

What does your “wall” look like?
