Look what we've been up to....literally!
This client had a large tree fall onto their roof during recent storms. Luckily, they purchased an all brick home or it would have been a total loss! After months of communication with insurance and several adjusters later, the repairs are finally beginning! All new trusses are set and sheathing installed! More to come!

To the elderly gentleman that striked up a conversation with me today at Academy, THANK YOU!

You see, it's been a rough week to begin with! Only to get a phone call that my mailbox had been desecrated by someone and I had to run by a lumber store to grab another 4x4 and mailbox to replace it. The checkout gal at Home Depot in O'Fallon was SOOOO rude and huffed and puffed because there was no bar code on my 4x4 (totally my fault, of course!). I left there cranky as all get out! Decided to make a quick stop at Academy to look for a few items and made a b-line to my destination. This lovely older man made a joke about leaving a few shirts for him (obviously I was shopping for the hubs!)! He circled back to tell me all about the Carolina's and where to go if I ever visited! We chatted and giggled for a bit and went on our way....

The point of this is that sometimes, just being outgoing and the willingness to talk to a stranger about nothing at all, could be exactly what that someone needed that day!

Be the person that makes someone day better, not worse! A little kindness goes a long way!
