This month, we are proud to feature a photo from Ron M. of H&K’s Pottstown Division. Here is what he had to say about the photo: “Over the weekend of September 7th, 2025, H&K’s Structures Division and Haines & Kibblehouse, Inc. joined teams to demolish the old Farmersville Road Bridge, spanning over Route 22, in Bethlehem, PA. Five (5) excavators were used to bring the bridge down during a complete shutdown of Route 22 from Saturday night into Sunday mid-morning. In addition to the excavators, wheel loaders were utilized for cleanup assistance.”

On Friday, August 28th, H&K fired up the grill at our Easton Campus. The Easton location is home to Easton Quarry, Easton Asphalt, and Easton Block & Supply. Over 170 employees and customers were served bacon cheeseburgers, hot dogs, jalapeno & cheddar cheese dogs and refreshments. T-shirts were provided to employees and customers in addition to the food and drinks. Keep a look out for our next grill day!

On Thursday, August 19th Haines & Kibblehouse, Inc. (H&K, Inc.) completed a 60yd concrete pour on the West Moreland Avenue bridge in Hatboro, PA. The old bridge was demolished earlier this year to make room for the new bridge. Fourteen (14) beams were set a few weeks prior to the deck pour. The new bridge has a longer and wider footprint to better accommodate vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

H&K Group, Inc. (H&K) has purchased a number of Mack Trucks Granite GR64B’s and began phasing them into service the morning of August 19th. The first six (6) new Mack Granite GR84B’s are ready to make their way north where they will replace older trucks. Over the next few weeks more of these triaxles will be making their appearance across the H&K network! Special thanks to Bergey's Truck Centers and Triad Truck Equipment for their assistance with ordering and putting these fresh trucks together.

On Thursday, August 6th, H&K Group, Inc. hosted over 20 interns from the Transportation Quality Initiative (TQI) as the final event before returning to school. Interns from H&K, JD Eckman, PennDOT, Urban Engineers, JMT, STV, PA Turnpike Commission, and TPD were given behind-the-scenes tours of Atlantic American Precast (AAP), Douglassville Quarry and our Keim Street Bridge project. H&K was also the kick-off location back in June.

H&K Group, Inc.’s (H&K’s) Douglassville Quarry recently acquired two new Caterpillar 775 rigid frame haul trucks. Once the pieces arrived on-site, Foley, Inc - Caterpillar Dealer technicians and mechanics assembled and prepared the trucks for use. After inspection and testing were completed, Douglassville Quarry operators received training on the equipment to be MSHA compliant. These trucks will assist with production at the plant while the two older 775G trucks will be assigned to overburden stripping. These trucks are a welcome addition to our fleet of off-road machinery.
