I’ve been seeing a lot of these lately around Sioux Falls, especially in the Galway and Bakker Park neighborhoods.
That little drip doesn’t look like much. But when it’s above a finished ceiling and it’s been dripping for a while, it can cause a whole lot of damage.
I see this pretty regularly in houses built in that 2000–2010 range, right before most contractors really started making the move from copper water lines to PEX.
I tell my customers this all the time: if you’re already doing a project and you’ve got a wall or ceiling opened up and can see the copper, replace what you can with PEX while you’re in there.
And keep an eye on your ceilings. If you see a water spot starting, don’t wait for it to get worse. There’s water coming from somewhere.
Also, my estimates are always free. If you’ve got something in your house that doesn’t look right and you just want me to take a look at it, call me. I’m happy to come out and tell you what I think. No charge.
I don’t have the biggest customer list in Sioux Falls, and I’m perfectly fine with that. The customers I do have are taken care of. They know if something goes wrong, they can call me day or night and I’m going to do my best to be there.
That’s how I run my business. I take care of my neighbors.
