Sometimes, it’s the details you don’t immediately notice.

Soffits can be an overlooked part of exterior design, but they serve an important purpose — providing ventilation while also creating an opportunity to add to the building’s overall look.

At The Lourdes Center, the soffit was designed to create depth and contrast along the roofline while complementing the rest of the exterior. From material and color to angle and lighting, even a functional element like this is considered as part of the bigger design.

That’s the advantage of design-build: decisions are made with both function and the finished building in mind.

Project closeout is more than turning over the keys.

Over the past two days, owner training was underway at Sioux Falls Light, Power & Traffic, with leadership and our trade partners walking through the building's HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, sprinkler, and other key systems.

Ever wonder how those large concrete walls go up so quickly?

At the City of Sioux Falls Light, Power & Traffic facility, our team installed 105 precast concrete wall panels. These large concrete sections are built off-site, delivered to the jobsite, and lifted into place by crane, helping the building come together faster and with exceptional precision.

It's one of those construction processes that's even more impressive when you see it in action.
