Meet the Team! 👋

This week we're excited to spotlight Joe, our Service Crew Lead at Smart Commercial Construction!

With 5 1/2 years at SCC, Joe has been an important part of the team, helping keep projects running smoothly and ensuring quality work. His experience and dedication help make a difference on every project.

One of his favorite projects has been the Kinder Academy remodel, which presented unique challenges working around daycare activities and their schedule. Coordinating the work while accommodating the daily needs of the facility made it a memorable project.

What Joe enjoys most about working at Smart Commercial is the focus on quality work and the commitment to doing things right.

We're grateful to have Joe as part of our team and appreciate the experience, hard work, and dedication he brings to SCC every day.

Help us thank Joe for everything he does! 👏

Rain, rain, go away… ☔️

We’re building a retention pond...we just didn’t need all that rain to fill it up first. 😂

A couple weeks of rain have put a little pause on progress, but we’re looking forward to getting back to work and moving this project forward as soon as conditions allow.

Stay tuned for more progress once things dry out!

It might look like a finishing touch, but there’s more to a cornice than meets the eye.

Our team recently installed the cornice at University Hills Building 6, adding both function and architectural detail to the building’s exterior.

A cornice creates a finished transition at the top of the wall and can help move water away from the building while adding definition to the roofline. Getting each section properly measured, aligned, and installed is important to creating a clean, consistent finish.

The details might seem small, but they play a big role in the finished product.

It’s amazing what a little siding can do. The vision is starting to take shape. 👏

Meet the team! 👋

This week we're excited to spotlight Jon Goldammer, a Project Manager at Smart Commercial Construction.

Jon has been part of the SCC team for almost 4.5 years, bringing experience, teamwork, and a passion for construction to every project. As a Project Manager, he helps guide projects from the planning stages to completion, working through the details that bring each structure to life.

One thing Jon enjoys most about working at SCC is the camaraderie across the entire team. He describes SCC as a second family, appreciating the relationships and teamwork that make the company a great place to work.

When it comes to what he loves most about his job, Jon enjoys taking a set of plans and turning them into a fully constructed structure. He especially appreciates working through the intricate details and challenges that go into making each project happen.

Jon can't say he has one favorite project, but one that stands out to him right now is Beds By Design. He enjoyed seeing the drastic change from what the building used to be and watching the transformation take place.

We're grateful to have Jon on our team and appreciate the dedication, teamwork, and attention to detail he brings to SCC every day.

Help us give Jon a shoutout and show some appreciation for all his hard work! 👏

The before-and-after says it all. This project with Mid States Audio & Video transformed an existing space through a new addition, updated offices, and a remodeled lobby designed to better serve their team and customers.

We're proud of the work that goes into making commercial spaces more functional, welcoming, and built for the future.

Have a project in mind? Let's build something together!
