Your home could be taking on moisture long before you ever even move in 🤯

From taping and painting to laying tile, several stages of the building process can introduce a lot of moisture into a home.

Running dehumidifiers helps us keep moisture levels under control and consistent throughout the whole process. It’s just one of the many steps we take throughout the building process to help protect the home for years to come.

The details that happen before the paint goes on are what make a home truly custom. đź‘€

Here’s a look at why we’re installing our custom 1⅛” door and window jambs before texture and paint and how that no-casing detail is going to give these openings a clean, elevated finish!

It’s ALL in the DETAILS.

in addition to a dedicated floor drain, we lowered the mechanical room floor by 2 inches. If a leak ever happens, that small step helps keep water contained to the mechanical room instead of spreading throughout the basement.

It’s another simple detail that’s built with intention and the unexpected in mind.

It’s the details you hope you NEVER need that matter MOST.

Water heaters and other mechanical equipment don’t last forever, and if they ever leak the damage can add up quickly. That’s why we install a dedicated emergency floor drain in our mechanical rooms… Just in case.

It’s a simple feature that most homeowners will never think about, but if it’s ever needed, you’ll be glad it’s there.

Building an airtight home is only half of the story… Managing the airflow is what keeps it performing at its best.

Airtight doesn’t mean airless, it means every bit of airflow is intentional.

Here we’re installing two A. O. Smith heat pump water heaters.

These A. O. Smith heat pump water heaters are designed to maximize efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and support the overall performance of the home. Unlike traditional electric water heaters, these units pull heat from the surrounding air and transfer it to the water, making them a much more energy-efficient option.

High-performance homes need high-performance ventilation.

Because this home is built extremely airtight, we’ve installed a Brink ERV to deliver fresh air where it’s needed and to remove stale air from ares like kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry rooms.

Better air quality. Better comfort. Better living.

Small detail. Big impact. Every pipe, wire, and pe*******on in a home’s exterior creates an opportunity for air and moisture to enter. By properly sealing and flashing these areas, we create a continuous air and weather barrier that improves energy efficiency, durability, and overall building performance.

In this new build we did a double wall for our wall assembly, the inner wall, which holds our v***r control layer, primarily serves as a service wall to eliminate pe*******ons in the air and v***r control layer
