During this final walkthrough in Sharon, Mitch reviews the finished work with the homeowner, including the plywood replaced on the house and shed.

But before leaving, there’s one more important conversation.

Our office will follow up in a few days to hear how the entire experience went. And if the homeowner has any questions or concerns afterward, Mitch makes sure they have his direct number.

We were on-site filming ads when Brian, our former Production Manager, saw an opportunity to help plan the garage ventilation.

After climbing onto the roof and examining the new gutter helmets that hadn’t been installed yet, he realized the proposed approach needed another look.

He worked through possible solutions with our field manager, considering how the ventilation and new gutter components would work together.

Nothing was decided or installed at that moment. What you’re seeing is the planning process happening in real time.

Sometimes going above and beyond means taking the initiative to ask more questions before the work begins.

Does your attic actually have the ventilation it needs?

It’s not always as simple as looking at the vents on the outside of your home.

During this morning walkthrough, Mitch and Ian discuss the existing gable vents, soffit vents, and baffles inside the attic.

The important question is whether the soffits are actually open and allowing air to move through the system.

Once the old roof comes off, Mitch will be able to inspect the conditions more closely and determine the best approach for the new ridge ventilation.

The goal isn’t just to add more vents. It’s to make sure the ventilation system works together properly.

That’s one of the details worth evaluating whenever you’re replacing a roof.

Sometimes the best news during a roof replacement is what we didn’t have to replace.

During this final walkthrough in Meriden, Mitch lets the homeowner know that no additional plywood was needed during the installation.

Then he goes over a few of the smaller details that help protect the new roof.

A new pipe boot with a silicone seal. New flexible waterproofing around the furnace vent. Proper protection around the areas where pipes and vents come through the roofing system.

These aren’t the parts of a new roof that get the most attention, but they’re important to how the entire system performs.

Your landscaping matters just as much as your new roof.

During this midday walkthrough in Bloomfield, Mitch checks in with the homeowner about the bushes and roses surrounding the house.

Our crew used tarps to help protect the landscaping from falling roofing debris, but there’s another detail worth mentioning.

Those tarps can get pretty hot in the summer.

That’s why Mitch recommends giving the plants a good watering once the installation is finished and the tarps are removed.

They also get a chance to admire the new Williamsburg Gray shingles as the project comes together.

A beautiful new roof is important. Making sure we take care of the property around it is part of the job, too.
