Though a bit of a trek from the Upstate, Gibbs gardens offers gorgeous gardens almost year round! Definitely worth a visit or even a membership to enjoy throughout the seasons. Every visit is different 😍

Three years ago! When a memory pops up of course I'm going to try to do a then and now!

I have so enjoyed taking over my front yard with a garden. I was hesitant with the original area I claimed, hoping to not take up too much play area, but the kids have been on board and loved running through the garden paths and interacting with the nature they find.

(🤫 I might have to claim a little more space at this rate😜)

It's a great time to do a sun study! Find out what areas of your yard are full sun or partial. Grab a shot every two hours. This info can help determine morning sun areas or full sun areas for your flowers and veggies

Some unwanted guests before the storms rolled in yesterday. I didn't even try peppers or tomatoes this year because they are just deer food at this point. But I'm so thankful for some rain!!

Plenty of deals to be had if you brave the heat. Tractor Supply in Greer and Home Depot in Greer. I'm sure other stores in the upstate have similar deals

Empress of China Dogwood is a favorite evergreen! Even deprived of the sun it wants mine still is busting with blooms.

My poppies are still blooming! What a treat!

Planting seeds in winter seems like a bad idea but these guys thrive from neglect. The only way to remind me they are there and to not mulch the area is a little stick tepee I make in the area I scattered seeds
