⚠️ Severe storm threat today from 3 PM to 10 PM, followed by heavy rain overnight.
One concern this afternoon and evening will be the potential for rotating thunderstorms. With tropical moisture, summer heat and humidity, and added wind energy from the nearby low pressure system, a few storms could rotate.
While the tornado threat remains low, it is not zero. An isolated tornado or two is possible if the right storm develops.
🌪️ These are the storms I’ll be watching most closely on radar—discrete or isolated cells that can tap into the atmosphere before merging into larger areas of rain.
After the storm threat, attention shifts to heavy rainfall overnight as bands of tropical moisture move through the area.
I’ll be watching every radar scan today and will keep you posted if any storm begins to show signs of strengthening.
