**WANTED**
If you live in Clemson (or the Upstate), check out this program! Bradford pears are not native to the U.S. and have been widely planted in the Upstate for years. While the blossoms are pretty, they have a pungent odor and the trees often break during storms. Even worse, Bradford pear trees directly contribute to one of the worst invasive plant species in the Southeast – the callery pear. This program will give homeowners the option to remove Bradford pears and replace them with native trees. The exchange will be held Feb. 29 at Nettles Park in Clemson. It’s HOT everywhere this time of year but especially in the south and for most it’s been pretty dry.

Keeping that lawn watered is especially important but doing it in such a way as to make it user friendly and also trying to eliminate any waste is of upmost importance. Water is THE most precious resource we have and it’s all of our jobs to ensure we are not wasting it.

For those that are not up to speed....
One of the more popular additions to the irrigation industry is smart controllers that are controlled by apps on your mobile device or tablet.

Before and afters
A weedy area with poor drainage and no real stairs to the new garage. Rebuilt native boulder wall, grading, drainage, irrigation, two sets of stairs, pathway with drains underneath, flagstone walk and some mulch and plants to finish it off.
