Yesterday we visited Heronswood Garden in Kingston. It was great fun with fellow gardeners. There were beautiful natural landscapes, formal gardens and ponds complete with frogs! We also visited the Port Gamble City garden filled with beautiful dahlias of all varieties and colors following lunch.

Thank you for all your thoughts and suggestions on this art. For now, it is outside; I will bring it inside during the winter months or before to protect it. Begonias are planted in it, but the glass is covered with coconut hair lining the inside to protect the glass. I re-shaped a tomato cage so it holds the vase at four points, and you can still see the shape. The other advantage of the tomato cage is that I could push the legs deep into the ground for support and strength. This could all change...

I have a question. We purchased this conical rainbow vase yesterday from a garage sale. I think we paid $8.00. My thought was it would be beautiful in the garden. They mentioned the artist was famous and did artwork for several famous people. I looked it up...indeed, it is the work of artist like Martin Blank or Dale Chihuly. Do I still put it in the garden? I purchased a second one as well that I will share later.

Yesterday, Bill and I joined a self guided tour of six gardens coordinated by Mark the Pool Guy from Puyallup. (He was the designer and installer of "Garden Answers" water feature.) This tour focused on the streams and water features; but as a bonus we enjoyed seeing some spectacular gardens. Here are a few photos I took.
