Two of Rudd Montgomery's ( Push Hard Lumber ), signature "fishin' chairs" in walnut have a new home in a St. Petersburg, FL art gallery. According to the gallery owner and gallery manager, they've become the favorite location for their staff meetings. Well, opening a gallery in a down economy has been financially challenging, but also spiritually rewarding because of the energy of the ever-evolving Southside District, its entrepreneurial spirit, the neighbors, all of our local artists and YOU our clients.

We officially opened in May 2009 with the initial concept of a showroom to sell and work with clients to commission the handcrafted furniture of David Crewe and Rudd Montgomery. We quickly realized that the furniture needed additional "finishing" - accessories, home décor, or other pieces to create warmth within the brick & concrete space.

After exploring the options of buying retail merchandise at market, we took a step back and a look forward and decided to tap into our local artist community and incorporate more original works. It's been a ride, but thanks to our neighbors, the artists, consistent local clients and definitely our out-of-town art lovers & buyers, we are celebrating our 5th year and have grown to host the works of over 40 local artists and craftsmen.

Visit us Wed. - Fri. from 10a-6p, Sat. from 9a-2p and be sure to follow our page for event updates along with the Last Fridays events May-Sept during the Southside Stroll season.
