Two buildings can have the same square footage and very different price tags.

Clear span width
Every foot of column-free interior adds steel to the frame. A building with a center column line and a building with an open span are not the same structure, and they do not price the same.

Eave height
Taller walls mean heavier columns and more wall panel.

Roof pitch
It changes panel quantity and it changes the frame.

Openings
Every overhead door, man door, and window is framed into the structure. Two openings and six openings are different buildings.

Panel gauge and profile
Gauge, profile, and insulation each move the number on their own.

Site access
Whether equipment can reach the pad and where material can be staged.

Most people pick a metal roof for how long it lasts. Then they find out how much say they have in how it looks.

Profile, gauge, and color are three separate decisions, and each one changes the result. A 24 gauge panel is heavier than a 26 gauge panel. A standing seam profile hides its fasteners. An exposed fastener profile costs less and installs faster. Color sets the character of the whole building.

Landmark has installed all three across Southern Arizona.
• Bisbee City Hall: 8,000 square feet of 24 gauge Image II in Copper Penny
• A residence: 5,400 square feet of 20 inch standing seam in Ocean Blue
• Another residence: 1,600 square feet of 26 gauge Image II in Burnished Slate
• A shop building: 26 gauge Classic Rib in red

We fabricate our own standing seam panels and custom trim, so the finish matches the plan instead of the other way around.

Ask any general contractor what actually costs them money. It is rarely the price of the steel. It is the week the steel did not show up.

Schedule is where a metal building contractor either earns the next job or does not. Landmark has a record clients have put in writing.

L & L Manufactured Components rebuilt a saw building after a fire, on what their president called an unrealistic timetable. Landmark finished ahead of schedule. Butterfield RV Resort needed a 40 by 60 banquet hall by November 8 for an event on the 12th. They got the keys on November 5. Ewing's facilities director credited the design phase, budget awareness, and cost saving alternatives with keeping the project in range.

Eight full-time crews. A construction method that assembles much of the building on the ground, which cuts er****on time. Structural steel fabricated in house instead of waiting in someone else's queue.

Dates on a schedule should mean something.

More than a third of all Mexican produce entering the United States comes through Nogales. The heavy season runs roughly October through April. Which means the buildings that handle it have about two months left to be ready.

Cold storage and produce warehousing are unforgiving structures. Every square foot of envelope is a thermal problem. Dock configuration determines how many trucks turn per day. A roof leak is not a maintenance ticket, it is spoiled inventory. And along the I-19 corridor, the buildings have to do all of it while sitting in southern Arizona sun.

Landmark built Santa Cruz Cold Storage. We built the Joffroy warehouse. We are certified installers for several metal roofing systems and have installed millions of square feet of each. Campuses across southern Arizona are back in session, and the buildings are already being judged. Not on how they look at ribbon cutting. On whether they hold up through twenty years of students.

Education facilities carry demands most commercial buildings do not. Clear span interiors for shops, labs, gyms, and athletics. Long service life on a public budget. Construction windows that have to fit around a school calendar, not the other way around.
