Inspired by one of the island’s most beloved (and lost) landmarks, A. Richard Aitken, Jr. Builder - Contractor recreated “The Shack” as a guest house behind an oceanfront property.

“We weren’t just building a house,” said Aitken. “We were rebuilding a feeling, a piece of local heritage.”

Designed as a rustic a-frame, the resulting guest house is actually composed of two mini shacks, cleverly joined to include two master suites.

Who wouldn’t love to spend the last week of August soaking up the sun on this ocean front deck! Our customer was on point with her selections of this uniquely shaped glass tile by for the waterline. We just love the coordinating tiny glass beads in the pebble brilliance that shimmer through the of this fabulous pool by Jersey Pools. Another fun project for an amazing customer! 📷 Jason Gates

Our customer had a vision of an elevator shaft made of stained glass and this unique architectural element now lights up the sky at her LBI home. We are forever grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with her on the creative works of art that have gone into renovating this one of a kind dream house.

This LBI home has incredible ocean views as well as an incredible view of the art and architecture coming home from a day at the beach.
