WASHINGTON AND OREGON WEEKEND STORM POSSIBLE❓🌧️💨❄️🌀a stronger Pacific storm COULD approach the Northwest this weekend, bringing rain, gusty winds and mountain snow! Low pressure may strengthen offshore, but its track and intensity remain UNCERTAIN. Some forecast guidance brings it inland, while others keep it offshore or farther north toward Vancouver Island.

This system could tap enough Pacific moisture to produce the season’s first atmospheric river and a more widespread soaking across parts of western Washington and Oregon. Current guidance does not suggest rainfall totals sufficient to raise major river flooding concerns. Strong coastal winds are possible if the low strengthens and moves close enough to shore, with a low chance of gusts reaching 40+ mph Saturday along the northern Oregon and southwest Washington coast and a medium chance for 25+ mph gusts.

Colder air could also bring accumulating mountain snow, with snow levels across Washington falling to around 4,000-5,000 feet heading into the weekend. Some scenarios support moderate to heavy snow in parts of the Cascades but others show minimal snow. Amounts and potential pass impacts will depend on how much moisture arrives with that colder air.

There’s a storm worth watching, but confidence remains LOW in exactly where the strongest winds, heaviest rain and mountain snow would occur. Details should become clearer later this week🌧️💨❄️

Summer is doing its absolute very best to hang on as long as it can. While rain, wind, and snow means more people looking for generators...we're parents over here, and a rain-free Halloween is quite alright with us 🎃

☀️ Temperatures will warm up again on Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 20-21, with inland valleys warming into the 70s each afternoon. Highs in the 60s are expected at the coast. Dry weather will continue as well.

Quite a few outages spread across Clackamas County tonight, but the Sandy area has been hit the hardest with over 2,300 customers out. A total of 3,500+ out for PGE total though. No reason give for the outages so far.

Love the pink shirts this year Sherwood Youth Cheer! All the teams were rocking them today (with pink poms of course). Great job by all the teams as usual. Even though it rained off and on, it didn’t bring down the energy one bit ⚡️

Here's some of what we've been up to in October so far - standby generator installations (Generac and Kohler Energy – Generators), propane installation, EV charger installation, and more. Our busy season is just kicking off!
