First, teamed up with TG’s Welding Services to set and weld trusses, install purlins, and frame out openings for roll-up doors on a steel building. Learned some things and gained a bit of experience.

Next up was a stainless steel repair on a fire truck at a fire station in Krum, TX. Ground out the crack and fought to get it sealed up with water making things a little difficult. Made the repair and the trucks back in service.

From structural steel to stainless repairs, we’re ready to tackle the job and keep things moving.

A little bit of progress on a couple of projects around the shop this week!

First up, making headway on the 60” x 120” fab table, drilling holes for the new fixture table setup. Currently sitting at 460 holes drilled. It’s a work in progress that I chip away at when time allows. Couple existing holes prior to drilling need to be filled and drilled.

Also got another hydraulic tank in the shop with the same recurring issues — broken baffles and worn spots creating holes. Got it opened up, cleaned out, repaired, and put back into service with a quick turnaround to get the customer back up and running.
From shop improvements to equipment repairs, we keep making progress and getting the job done!

Putting the Fireball Tool hole drill template to work on my 60" × 120" × 1" fab table! Roughly 1800 holes 😬.

Paired it up with a new Hougen mag drill for a true jig-table setup. This is going to make positioning, fixturing, and repeatable fabrication jobs a whole lot easier.

Started with a round-bottom end dump trailer with a damaged gate bracket. The previous repair was cut out completely, the area was properly beveled, full-penetration welds were made, and reinforcement plating was added for a stronger, longer-lasting repair.

Next up was an aluminum trailer with fender damage and crack repairs. Got everything repaired and wrapped up the night with some quality aluminum work.

Finished the night’s work in some nice, cool weather. Can’t complain about that! 🤙

Another set of hydraulic tanks back in service!

These tanks were cut open to access and repair the internal baffles, then sealed back up and welded. Also took care of the cracks and finished everything up to get them ready to go back onto designated semis.
