Intern Spotlight: Meet Haven!
We're excited to introduce another key member of our summer intern team!
🎓 School: University of Minnesota–Twin Cities
📐 Major: Architecture
Outside of the office, Haven enjoys creating art, attending live music events, spending time outdoors, and making memories with family and friends. One of her favorite local restaurants is Harry's Prohibition Bistro.
One of the most valuable lessons Haven has learned during her internship is:
"Successful design extends far beyond the drawings. I've gained an appreciation for the collaboration, coordination, communication, and problem-solving that happen behind the scenes to transform a concept into a successful project. Seeing how every detail contributes to the final outcome has deepened my respect for the architectural process."
When asked why she chose Abacus, Haven shared:
"I chose Abacus because of its collaborative culture and commitment to thoughtful, high-quality design. From my first interactions with the team, it was clear that people genuinely invest in one another's growth while striving to create meaningful spaces for their clients and communities. As an intern, I've appreciated the opportunity to contribute to real projects, learn from experienced professionals, and be challenged in ways that have accelerated both my personal and professional development. Being part of a team that values innovation, mentorship, and collaboration has made this an incredibly rewarding experience!"
