Introducing our latest renovation project, 🌊

Set along the shores of Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, this 2,800 sq. ft. cottage lake home has remained in the same family for nearly half a century. Our goal ➡️ to reimagine the home for a new chapter of lake living while preserving elements of its original character & charm. ✨

Working within the existing footprint, we have so many intricate details to share soon. From patterned mosaics and wallpaper to breathtaking millwork design, we’re so excited to transform this home into a place centered around gathering, lakeside rituals + a stronger connection to the shores of Elkhart Lake. 🛶

Take a virtual walk through of 🖤

Inspired by the 3 Arts Club at Restoration Hardware Chicago, this renovation features a dramatic glass conservatory and an entire basement finished with a game room, curated wine display, and a full custom home bar. 🍷

At Distinctive Design Studio, our 3D renderings allow clients to step inside the design before construction even begins. They create clarity around layout, materials, lighting, and scale—helping every decision feel more intentional, collaborative, and exciting from the very beginning. 💫

Introducing 🤍

Located in Kohler’s newest up-and-coming neighborhood, this basement renovation is already starting to take shape… and our design/build team is moving fast.

In just one month, the space has gone from unfinished to fully framed, drywalled, with doors and cabinetry installed. Speed like this only happens when the plan is clear from the start ⚡️

This lower level will soon feature a welcoming gathering area with a full kitchenette, a dedicated exercise space + a private guest suite for friends and family.

We’ll soon be layering in the finishing touches that take this space to the next level. More to come as The Clearings Basement Renovation takes shape! 🖤

Our interior designers just wrapped up three days at High Point Market — the world’s largest home furnishings trade show.

We explored new collections, sparked fresh ideas, and took in perspectives from industry leaders shaping what’s next in design. ✨

From lighting and artwork to custom furnishings, materials, and detailing, we’re heading back inspired and excited for what’s ahead. We can’t wait to start bringing these finds into upcoming projects.
