⚡️ ⚡️ When it’s go time, our guys are there to get the job done and meet our customers timelines. ⚡️ ⚡️

Crews are working to complete a week long outage on the substation in order to install new steel poles, wire, and switches. This will bring reliability to Jay County REMC system and will have a backup feed to their substation when we are complete.

Crazy the cost of material and equipment. Will we ever go back to what we once had?

The past five years have seen electric utility industry costs explode, leading to rapid increases in the cost of producing power, longer and more unpredictable timelines and the need for more financing.

Hoosier Edison crews have been working around the clock to help out our local REMC’s restore power after a strong storm rolled through Indiana yesterday evening.

Hoosier Edison kicked off the first section of new underground circuit install in the Town of Edinburgh. We were able to successfully bore 1200 feet of 8 inch conduit under the blue river. Our bore crews did an outstanding job completing this complex bore. Once our underground crews completed the bore and wire install, our over head crews came in and set two new poles for the cable risers and terminated all risers, switchgears, and transformers. Hoosier Edison is proud of the work our crews produce and always making critical deadlines.
