The Ruhlin Company, in partnership with Wright Engineering, has been selected as the Design-Build Team for the Cleveland Public Library Main Campus Fire Alarm System Project.

This project includes replacement and upgrades to the existing fire detection and alarm system throughout the Library’s Main Campus and the Louis Stokes Wing.

We’re proud to collaborate with Wright Engineering and the Cleveland Public Library to deliver a critical initiative that will enhance life safety and help protect these landmark facilities for years to come.

The Ruhlin Company has been selected as the Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) for the Ohio School for the Blind Campus Bridge Project in Columbus, Ohio!

The school provides specialized K–12 education and support for students from across Ohio. This project will create an important new connection between the two campuses by constructing a bridge over Bill Moose Run, improving safety, accessibility, and daily travel for students, staff, and visitors.

Project highlights include:
• 1,600 feet of new two-lane roadway with a shared-use path
• 119-foot bridge structure
• Earthwork, embankments, and stormwater management
• Lighting, landscaping, and roadway resurfacing

The Ruhlin Company has been awarded the 6100 Patient Room Upgrade renovation at Cleveland Clinic Akron General. Following our successful completion of the 6400 Behavioral Health project in 2024, we’re excited to continue our partnership on campus.

As CMR, Ruhlin will lead this 10,000 SF renovation to deliver a new medical-surgical unit with 22 patient rooms, an airborne isolation room, and enhanced caregiver/staff support spaces.

🚂 A legendary locomotive meets a landmark project.

The Ruhlin Company is proud to be working in the Ashtabula River Valley for Norfolk Southern on the replacement of the historic railroad bridge originally built in 1911.

Standing approximately 100 feet above the Ashtabula River and stretching nearly 825 feet in length, this project is transforming a vital piece of rail infrastructure.

Project highlights include:
• Approximately 2,600 cubic yards of new substructure concrete
• Nearly 2.7 million pounds of structural steel for the new superstructure
• Construction of access roads and a temporary causeway across the river

Recently, Big Boy No. 4014’s coast-to-coast tour featuring Norfolk Southern’s America’s 250 locomotive series provided an unforgettable backdrop to our work.

Weighing an incredible 1.2 million pounds, measuring 132 feet in length, and producing 7,000 horsepower, Big Boy is a remarkable example of engineering excellence—past and present coming together in one location.

Last week, we hosted our annual Ruhlin Company Intern Presentations over two days. Our incredible group of interns stepped up to share their summer project highlights and key learning opportunities. While their internships are only 3 months long, it was easy to see how much knowledge they were able to gain in such a short amount of time. We are incredibly proud of the hard work, dedication, and fresh perspectives they brought to our jobsites and offices this season.
