The stairs and retaining walls are in, and today we’re laying the base for the patio. We’re carefully leveling the area so the finished patio lines up perfectly with the stairs and door height.

A closer look at the Canopy Porch project ✨

An accessible deck creates the perfect spot for grilling and gathering, overlooking a cascading koi pond tucked into the hillside. Added later in the design process, the pond does more than create a tranquil focal point it helps soften nearby freeway noise from the deck and porch.

Below, an overlooked space beneath the porch was transformed into a walk-out basement patio complete with a hot tub and lounge seating. The result? A multi-level backyard retreat designed for gathering, relaxing, and enjoying every season.
