Here’s a look at our latest work for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission: the new Harrison City Maintenance Facility! PA Turnpike Commission

This project transforms a 42-acre site into a fully functional, highly efficient, and sustainable hub for highway and vehicle maintenance operations. The comprehensive design features:

✔️ Modern Infrastructure: Modern office space, logistics building, warehouse/storage, salt storage, and emergency power systems.

✔️Renewable Energy Focus: A 10-acre solar array supporting long-term sustainability goals.

✔️Full-Service A/E Ex*****on: Comprehensive services including field surveys, master planning, utility coordination, architecture, site-civil, MEP/fire protection, electrical distribution, cost estimating, and project management.

Following AE Works’ successful delivery of the Southern Beltway Maintenance Facility in 2021, this project reinforces our ongoing commitment to excellence and client satisfaction.

History has been made on the field!

Huge congratulations to the AE Works softball team for taking home their first-ever League championship title!

This crew brought the same passion, strategy, and teamwork from the office to the field all summer long.

Huge shoutout to everyone who came out to cheer, played their hearts out, and made this season unforgettable. It's one for the record books.

We are excited to share the completion of a new Administrative Building for the Wilmington VA Medical Center!

Serving as the prime A/E firm, AE Works delivered full design services for this two-story, 23,500-SF facility. The modern workspace features exposed structural elements, flexible demountable partition systems, and custom multi-purpose areas built for value and to adapt alongside the VA's evolving needs.

From hazardous material abatement during initial demolition to managing complex site drainage near an adjacent floodplain, our multidisciplinary team worked closely with the VA and local regulators to overcome critical site challenges.

The finished building features a 100-space parking lot, biofiltration plantings, solar arrays, green roofs, and EV charging stations, all built to VA Force Protection and Mission Critical Security Standards.

The Washington County PA Courthouse Square Redevelopment Project moves ahead!

This landmark project will deliver a state-of-the-art, designed to better serve the Washington County . AE Works designed the new facility to enhance local public safety operations, improve for all residents, and features structured parking with potential for future development.

"We’re excited for it... This is a long time in coming. It’s a state-of-the-art building that will be energy efficient and a massive cost saving for courthouse square. We’re ready to move forward on this and deliver to the citizens of Washington County." — Nick Sherman, Washington County Board Chairman

Groundbreaking is targeted for late August, with the goal of opening the new building in early 2028. We look forward to bringing updated, efficient infrastructure to the community.

🔎 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐞: 𝐌𝐮𝐫𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐬𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐨 𝐕𝐀 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫, 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫 & 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭

As part of ongoing improvements to the Medical Center, this critical infrastructure project upgrades the existing campus chiller plant and cooling tower.

AE Works installed a new high efficiency and properly sized 1250-ton modern centrifugal chiller, with variable volume and high efficiency/low loss water tower, to replace the existing 650-ton outdated chiller.

The new chiller restores N+1 capability for chiller plant operations. In addition, the project also provides a new cooling tower and electrical infrastructure upgrades that facilitate N+1 redundancy.
