Let’s get to know the trees that make Monteagle special!🌳

David, owner of High Canopy, is proud to be involved with the Monteagle Tree Advisory Council and help lead this community tree ID walk.

Join local tree enthusiasts and experts for a relaxed walk exploring the incredible variety of trees growing right here on the South Cumberland Plateau. You’ll learn how to identify native trees by their leaves, bark, acorns, and cones while enjoying time outdoors with the community.

📅 Tuesday, October 20
🕓 4:00–5:30 PM
📍 Meet at Harton Park, Monteagle, TN

Everyone is welcome — kids, parents, grandparents, teachers, and anyone curious about our local trees!

🌿 An illustrated tree guide, trail mix, and ice-cold water will be provided.

Children must be accompanied by an adult. Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather.

This event is sponsored by the Monteagle Tree Advisory Council.

From climbing gear and personal protective equipment to rope systems, headsets, and rigging equipment, every piece has a purpose when working high in the canopy and navigating hard-to-reach terrain.

Right tools. Right training. Right techniques.

Just another day above the canopy.

Before deciding what a tree needs, it’s important to look at its condition, structure, surroundings, and overall health.

Sometimes that means pruning, sometimes monitoring, and sometimes a more involved solution.

Good tree care starts with understanding the tree first.

Have a tree you’re unsure about? High Canopy can help you determine the right next step.

Working around structures requires the right combination of arboricultural knowledge, climbing systems, rigging techniques, specialized equipment, and safety planning.

At High Canopy, our approach starts with assessing the individual tree, its structure, and the surrounding property. From there, we use industry best practices and professional equipment to safely access difficult areas and carefully manage limbs around homes and other structures.

With 10+ years of tree care experience, ISA Certified Arborists with Tree Risk Assessment Qualification, Certified Tree Care Safety Professional credentials, and a preservation-oriented approach, our team is equipped to make informed pruning decisions, not just remove branches.

The goal?
Healthy trees, safer properties, and thoughtful work that respects both.

This day on the job meant working in some hard-to-access areas of the canopy, where proper rope systems, climbing equipment, and technique made all the difference.

Our climbing systems allow us to safely access areas that equipment on the ground simply can’t reach, while giving us the control and positioning needed to work carefully around the tree and surrounding property.

It’s more than just getting up into the tree. It’s knowing how to access it safely, assess the situation, and make the right moves once we’re there.

Just another day in the canopy. 🌿
