We were thrilled to welcome our interns, Zeke & Samuel, to the Citadel team this summer!

Both are currently studying Construction Science & Management, making their internship an opportunity to take what they've learned in the classroom and apply it in the field alongside experienced professionals.

Zeke spent his summer gaining hands-on experience across multiple Citadel projects, tackling everything from demolition and site preparation to installing footers and framing walls.

Samuel spent the summer as part of the team on the LeConte Center expansion, seeing firsthand what it takes to deliver one of East Tennessee's premier construction projects.

When asked what they'll remember most, neither of them mentioned the equipment or the projects. They talked about the people. "The supervisors are great guys to work with. Everyone has been patient, willing to teach, and eager to share their experience and wisdom."

That says everything about the culture we're proud to build at Citadel Construction. We believe construction is about more than the projects we complete—it's about investing in the next generation of builders, creating opportunities to learn, and passing along the knowledge that only comes from years of experience.

Thank you, Zeke and Samuel, for your hard work, positive attitudes, and eagerness to learn this summer.

As Construction Manager, our team is honored to help bring this vision to life, leading every phase of the expansion with the quality, accountability, and craftsmanship that have defined Citadel Construction since 2007.
