Four years of ideas, sketches, models, meetings, job sites, problem-solving, collaboration—and seeing spaces we once imagined become real.

When we started MKS Architecture in 2022, we wanted to create more than great architecture. We wanted to create a better experience for our clients: collaborative design, clear communication, and a process that keeps them connected from the first conversation through construction.

Four years later, that still drives everything we do.

We’re incredibly grateful to the clients who have trusted us with their homes, the contractors and consultants who help bring our ideas to life, and everyone who has supported MKS along the way.

Here’s to four years of MKS—and everything still to come.

25 years ago, I was an architecture student NJIT in Newark, NJ. On the morning of September 11, 2001, I was in my construction technologies class learning about fire protection and life safety. My professor had just drawn a diagram on the board illustrating the height of the twin towers in relationship to NYC's tallest fire truck ladder to demonstrate the importance of giving people time to escape a burning building before it fails. Three years ago, I went back to Ground Zero for the first time post-9/11. If you haven't had a chance to visit the memorial and the Oculus, I recommend it.

Still one of our favorite projects!

We are honored to be recognized as Best Architect by What’s Up? Media across four regional awards over the past two years.

In 2025, MKS Architecture was named Best Architect in Annapolis. In 2026, we were grateful to receive recognition in Annapolis, Eastern Shore, and Central Maryland.

These awards represent more than a title—they reflect the trust our clients place in us to design homes that are thoughtful, personal, and connected to their surroundings.

Thank you to our clients, collaborators, and community for allowing us to do the work we love. We are grateful for every opportunity to create spaces that become part of people’s stories.
