When it comes to lighting, most people think about ambient lighting (like ceiling lights) and task lighting (like desk lamps). But did you know there’s a third type?

Accent lighting is the fun stuff! It highlights the best features and focal points of your space. It’s the key to giving your home that cozy feeling and high-end look.

In this project, we added LED lighting under the built-in shelves and uplighting behind the wood paneling. The pictures don’t even do it justice. When we flipped the switch for the first time, it completely transformed the room. It felt like we were standing in a museum!

We make a great team. Ceanne brings the eye for design while Steve brings it all to life!

🇺🇸 The Fourth of July is a special holiday for us at Fusting Electric. Two years ago today, we took on our very first job.

🚐 We had just bought the van the day before and hadn’t outfitted it yet, tools sliding everywhere as Steve drove off to give an “estimate” we were hoping would turn into real work.

👩‍💻 Ceanne was home juggling our two little boys and scrambling to set up online payments, worried no one pays by check anymore (spoiler: she did.)

😅 We felt like total imposters (sometimes we still do). But things took off very quickly from there.

🎇 That year, we spent our long weekend hustling to get Fusting Electric off the ground. This year, we spent it with our boys, doing fireworks and feeling grateful for how far we’ve come. Thank you to everyone who supported us along the way in getting here. ♥️🤍💙

We had a ton of fun today doing Career Day at Colton’s school! We brought a bunch of tools, wire, and parts and let the kids go crazy exploring. Colton was so excited to be with mom & dad at school. I think we spotted some future electricians!

We’ve never gotten a gift from a client before — and we’re seriously blown away!

Today we had a job in Pasadena for one of our awesome repeat customers. Turns out the husband recently started his own laser engraving business, — and he surprised us with this custom tumbler featuring our Fusting Electric logo!

We’re honored, grateful, and totally impressed. Support small business, support each other!

This week was college & career day at school, and Colton got to dress up as what he wants to be when he grows up. His choice? Joining Fusting Electric as an electrician, working alongside his dad. Proud of our little future electrician!

Today we did a Kids Workshop ! We’ve known about these for a long time, but (despite Home Depot being our second home) never seem to make it in time. But today (in honor of Steve’s birthday) we did! It was pretty fun & engaging. They got to use a screwdriver, hammer & wood glue to put together a toy fire truck. There was paint too but we didn’t have time to paint it since we got there right at the end, will get there earlier next time! They’re 9am until noon the first Saturday every month.
