Sometimes the biggest problems are the ones you can’t see. 🔨

BAK/Bill removed this older deck today and uncovered significant deterioration.😬

One of the important details when building a deck is proper ledger flashing ( it helps direct water away from the house and protects the structure behind the deck).

This is exactly why what’s underneath the finished project matters just as much as what you see when it’s done.
