This project is a great example of why paint quality matters.

At first glance, it might look like we completely changed the color scheme—but these are actually the home’s original colors. The issue wasn’t the color selection; it was the builder-grade paint that had faded and weathered much faster than expected.

Over time, constant exposure to sun, rain, temperature changes, and UV rays can cause lower-quality coatings to lose their color, chalk, and break down prematurely. When that happens, even a beautiful color palette can start to make a home look older than it really is.

For this repaint, we restored the original design by bringing the existing color scheme back to life with premium exterior coatings designed for better color retention, durability, and long-term protection. The result is a fresh, clean appearance that honors the home’s original character while providing a finish built to last for years to come.

Carpenter bees don’t just “visit” — they move in, tunnel through your wood, and come back year after year if nothing changes. That’s exactly what was happening here.

We started by locating and filling every single entry hole (this step is critical — if you skip it, they’ll reuse the same tunnels). Then we sealed the entire surface with a high-quality solid stain, which not only gives a clean, uniform look but also creates a protective barrier that makes the wood far less appealing for future infestations.

Why solid stain? Unlike paint, it soaks in and bonds with the wood while still providing full coverage. And unlike transparent stains, it actually blocks those exposed surfaces carpenter bees love.

Result:

✔️ Entry points eliminated
✔️ Long-term protection added
✔️ Clean, finished ceiling upgrade

Most people only notice siding when it looks bad.

Gaps, uneven lines, poor nailing… it all shows over time.

But a proper Hardie install is built long before the final piece goes up.

Every board has to be measured correctly.
