When people see a ceiling being removed, the first question is usually, “Was all of that really necessary?”

In this case, yes.

This cantilever porch had extensive rot concerns, and there was no way to know the full extent of the damage without opening it up. We removed the ceiling panels and inspected every piece of wood because hidden damage has a way of spreading farther than expected.

Construction isn't about guessing what's okay and covering the rest. It's about finding the problem, understanding the structure, and repairing it properly from the inside out.
