We can also reclaim the gravel you have by bringing it back to the surface. We can add a great base material that will lock in after being packed down. Then we can shape it so no water will not stand on the driveway/road!

Ponds can be a nightmare if not built correctly. There are steps that need to be taken in the construction of ponds to keep them from leaking out your money!

Ive seen folks hire construction company’s to build a pond and they failed to separate the different layers of material and not building on bonding layers as in clay causing a nightmare for the owner. Ive seen dirt just pushed up and shaped leaving the top soil, sand or rock act as a sponge letting the water leak out. If you ever wonder why your pond drops to a certain level quickly without it reaching the spillway this is most likely your issue.

Spillways-

Spillways are best to routed to an area where the ground hasn’t been broken/natural ground. It needs to be designed to handle the flow of the amount of run off going into your pond when it’s at full capacity. There are situations where you may have to use pipe but it needs to be the correct diameter to handle the volume going into the pond at full capacity. If the correct diameter isnt used this will cause the water to flow over the dam cutting into it eventually causing the dam to fail.
