Opting to expand the breakfast area into a dining space allowed them to transform a formal dining room into a garage-entry mudroom with sizable walk-in pantry. Removing a half-wall opened the kitchen to family room, and in the heart of the kitchen is an expansive island that includes a sink and dishwasher. Welcome Home. This family chose the Layton 1 floor plan. Alongside the design guidance of Staci Treaster, they modified the plan to include a 3-car garage and added square footage to the former walk-in closet area. The result gave them a laundry room in lieu of a laundry closet, a separated half bath, and a coat closet. The master bath switched locations and now includes a double bowl vanity and soaking tub while maintaining room for a shower.
