Another day, another frame. 🔨🏠 The Coast Studios crew is back at it in the shop, working through the flooring, framing and insulation for our new Orcas Island music studio project.

Piece by piece, it’ll come together here in Sedro-Woolley before making the trip to its pretty incredible final destination overlooking the Salish Sea. We’re excited to watch this one take shape!

Would you believe this is only 192 square feet? 😲👏🏽🏠 This new 12' x 16' Coast Studios design option packs a surprising amount into a very small footprint: a comfortable sleeping area, kitchenette, dining space and ¾ bath.

For one person, this could be a really lovely way to live simply without needing a lot of space. Or picture it in the backyard as a private suite for Mom or Dad, a place for grown kids when they come home, or guest quarters that don't require giving up a room in your own house.

These are renderings, but they give you a pretty good idea of just how much can be done with 192 thoughtfully designed square feet.

A new Coast Studios project is officially underway... and this one is headed to beautiful Orcas Island. 🐋⛴🎶

This custom music studio will eventually make its home on the client’s property overlooking the Salish Sea. For now, work is happening in two places: the site has been cleared and marked, while the Coast Studios crew has started building the floor system inside our Sedro-Woolley shop.

That’s one of the advantages of the Coast Studios process. While site preparation happens at your property, much of the construction can take place simultaneously in our shop, before the structure ever makes its way to you.

We’ll be following this one from the shop floor to its final home on Orcas Island. And if you have a property (and an idea or dream for what could go there) we’d love to help you figure out what’s possible.
