🔨 Deck Building Progress!

The Anderson Builders crew has been hard at work getting the framing in place on this deck project!

There’s a lot that goes into building a deck before the decking boards even go down. A solid foundation and quality framing are key to a deck that’s built to last! 💪

Here’s a look at the before, during, and after of this rot repair with Anderson Builders.

Before: Removing the shingles and trim revealed extensive rot in the framing around the garage opening and along the walls.

During: We installed temporary supports, removed damaged lumber, and rebuilt the affected framing with new headers, posts, and studs. We also replaced insulation and repaired the wall sheathing.

After: The repaired areas are now covered with a new weather barrier and ready for siding and trim. There’s still finish work ahead, but these photos show the substantial work that goes into repairing what’s underneath.

Sometimes the biggest problems are hiding behind the siding. 🔨

The Anderson Builders crew is removing this elevated deck and opening up the house wall, where extensive rot has been uncovered in the sheathing and framing. From the outside, you’d never guess how much wood has deteriorated underneath.

With the damaged areas exposed, the next step is removing the rotten material, rebuilding with solid framing, and addressing water protection before everything gets closed back up.

It’s a messy start, but this is where a lasting repair begins. Stay tuned as we put this beautiful home back together!

Out with the rot, in with the new! 🔨

Once the siding came off, we found some rotten wood underneath that needed attention. We removed the damaged material, replaced it with new wood, properly wrapped everything back up, and finished it off with new siding.

It’s the work you don’t see when the project is finished that can make all the difference. 🏠
